E-Malt.com News article: Canada, QC: Les Brasseurs du Temps receive a Government grant for expansion into the US market

After just over two years of operation as a successful brewpub, Les Brasseurs du Temps has received a repayable grant of C$118,750 from the Government of Canada to fund their plans for expansion into the US market, Canadian Beer News reported on August, 29.

In accordance with its business plan, the company intends to carry out a pre-commercialization exercise that will involve prospecting for clients, conducting market surveys in the eastern United States on six of its types of beer, entering certain of its products in national and international competitions and refining its marketing strategy. Exporting its products will require the firm to purchase equipment to bolster its brewing and delivery capacity.

On the domestic front, BDT has plans to bottle more of their beers to make them available for sale in the brewpub shop and select retail outlets in the Gatineau area.
