| E-Malt.com News article: Belarus: Beer import drops in H1 on sharp decline in shipments from Ukraine
Belarus imported a total of 476.5 thousand hl of beer in January – June this year, which represents a decrease of 24.7% as compared to the same period in 2010, Belgospischeprom reported on September, 9.
According to official data, the nation imported most beer from Russia (403.4 thousand hl, up 4.7% yoy). Import from Ukraine dropped by 74.1% to 61.6 thousand hl.
Imports from other countries totalled 11.5 thousand hl (up 25.4%), mostly from Germany, Ireland, the Czech Republic, and Lithuania.
