E-Malt.com News article: Thailand: Carlsberg launches beer in bottles as the draught version turns out successful

Carlsberg is now selling bottled Carlsberg beer produced at a brewery in Thailand, Scandasia reported on October, 12.

The company established an office in Bangkok in the summer 2011 in order to prepare the relaunch of bottled Carlsberg beer in Thailand. Bottled beer will follow up the success of selling Carlsberg draught in bars and restaurants where the target initially was 150 outlets.

The number is now being upgraded, the General Manager at Carlsberg Thailand, Jacob Vigsø Hermansen, said.

The increased activity in Thailand, the world´s 10th biggest beer market, shows in the organisation of the company. Until this summer, Thailand was a part of the export business in Carlsberg Copenhagen. Now Carlsberg Thailand is a part of Carlsberg Indochina together with countries as Vietnam and Cambodia, it is reported.
