Brazil: Nova Schin, Schincariol’s main challenger to AmBev’s dominance of the domestic market, held a 13.4% stake in December, the same as it held in November. That will be shown by Nielsen research institute’s figures later this week. It was already announced this week that Schincariol’s challenge to AmBev’s market share suffered a setback in December.
AmBev’s brands, however, have recovered after three consecutive months’ slide. Skol, one of AmBev’s main brands, had 31.3% market share in September, but saw that erode in October to 30.4% and 29.9% in November. In December, Skol reversed the slide, grabbing 30.1% share.
