South African Breweries which holds a 98% share in the South African beer market has announced the launching of a new light beer brand, Sterling Light Lager. The introduction of this brand in the South African beer market, was stimulated by the increasing demand for light beer, in which the level of both calories and alcohol is low.
Sterling Light, which is available in four-packs, an absolute packaging novelty for SA beer market, will be initially sold in South Africa and only later this beer will be launched on external markets.
