| E-Malt.com News article: USA, MI: New Holland Brewing triples production capacity
Michigan-based New Holland Brewing has added five new fermentation tanks to increase its production capacity by three times and expand its distribution network, Drinks Business Review reported on May, 3.
Made and imported from Germany, each tank will produce 480 barrels or 14,880gal of beer.
New Holland Brewing president Brett VanderKamp said the tanks are part of a $3 mln expansion to plant that will add three to four jobs in production.
"We'll be able to increase our distribution both geographically, and with more points of distribution in our existing geographic footprint," VanderKamp said.
"The tanks will be producing beer by June."
New Holland Brewing partner and Brewmaster John Haggerty said the company anticipates demand for the New Holland products - which include Mad Hatter India Pale Ale and The Poet - to grow.
The company claims that, in 2011, it has distributed 15,000 barrels of beer in 13 states, where each barrel had 31gal of beer.
