| E-Malt.com News article: USA, OH: The Dayton Beer Co. opens in Kettering this week
The Dayton Beer Co. will hold a three-day grand opening this week, bringing back locally made craft beer to the Gem City, Ohio.com reported on May, 14.
Dayton, which has a rich brewing history, has been without a brewery for years.
“I can’t wait,” owner and brewer Pete Hilgeman said. “We’re going to have a packed house.”
The beers available will be: Broken Trolley Blonde Ale, Rising River Porter, Patterson Pale Ale and Hawthorn Hill Hefeweizen. Hilgeman also hopes to have another beer or two available.
Dayton Beer will have draft beer available for the grand opening. Hilgeman also plans to hand bottle his beer in 12-ounce bottles for retail sale.
The nanobrewery – Hilegman is making 1 ˝ barrels at a time -- is located in Kettering. The brewery includes a small bar and enough space for 49 people. There’s also an outdoor patio to handle any overflow.
“We’re looking to vastly outgrow this space,” Hilgeman said.
