| E-Malt.com News article: Canada, ON: Gananoque Brewing to open permanent brewery in Gananoque
A year after launching as a contract brewing operation, Gananoque Brewing has announced plans to open a permanent brewery in Gananoque, Canadian Beer News reported on June, 13.
Set to open in early 2013, the brewery will be located in the Bell Tower, an historic building in Gananoque.
“The Bell Tower building is a Gananoque landmark with a deep history, special character and real charm,” says Gananoque Brewing founder Bruce Davis. “We will preserve and restore this important property to honour its legacy and create a space that showcases our locally-sourced products and supports an onsite brewing operation that will be a great new attraction to the town.”
Gananoque Brewing is currently seeking a short-term tenant to use the storefront space for the summer while renovation plans are completed. Work to prepare the building for the brewery installation will follow, with an aim to have the facility up and running early next year.
