In order to help meet the ever-increasing demand for its products, Propeller Brewing announced on January, 11 plans to expand into a new facility.

Scheduled to open this spring on Windmill Road in Dartmouth, across Halifax Harbour from the brewery’s current Halifax home, the new brewery will feature a 30 barrel brewhouse and two 120 barrel fermentation vessels, as well as a retail shop.

In addition to increasing Propeller’s brewing capacity, it will also consolidate the brewery’s warehousing, which is current split over three rented locations, into a single facility.

The brewery’s current location on Gottingen Street in Halifax will remain open, with production concentrating on one-off and limited edition brands, and the original retail store staying in operation.
