| E-Malt.com News article: USA, DE: Dogfish Head releases new beer
Delaware-based Dogfish Head is adding a new brew to its core portfolio in March, Shanken News Daily reported on January, 29.
A beer-wine hybrid, Sixty-One is named to reflect that the beer is the company’s well-known 60 Minute IPA plus one ingredient—Syrah grape must from California.
It will be available four times a year in four-packs ($8.99-$9.99) throughout Dogfish Head’s 27-state distribution footprint.
Sixty-One is the company’s first addition to the core line-up in over five years.
Dogfish Head has been producing beer-wine hybrids for a number of years—including the Red & White and Noble Rot offerings, among others.
Company founder Sam Calagione says the brewery had estimated sales of more than 8,000 barrels of beer-wine hybrids in 2012.
