AmBev the first brewery in Brazil has decided to purchase a third from the stock of Quilmes, the Argentina’s leading brewer controlling 70% of Argentinean beer market .

This deal (of about US$600 million) will give AmBev the significant chance to strengthen considerably its position in Argentina and improve its standing in Latin America, the Brazilian brewer already having brewing operations in Venezuela, Paraguay and Uruguay.

The AmBev‘s move has already influenced the prices for its shares in Brazil which up to now have increased by o,61 % to 493 reais.
