After about two years and humble beginnings, the Bronx Brewery is expanding by moving to Bronx, ny1.com reported on May, 31.

"The last spot being in Mott Haven, that was a warehouse for us," said Sean McCain, sales director for the Bronx Brewery. "That was a place for us to set up for distribution. Here, we have a place where we actually are going to be brewing the beer."

The 8,500-square-foot space in Port Morris, complete with a tasting room, beer garden and outdoor dog run will be the first brew house in the borough since the '60s.

Right now, the beer is actually brewed in Connecticut. Bringing everything in house, of course, helps business, and the brewers hope it will also help the Bronx.

The owners are aiming for a fall opening.
