| E-Malt.com News article: USA, OR: Mazama Brewing opened on May, 31
Mazama Brewing started pulling pints and filling growlers in its new taproom on May, 31, gazettetimes.com reported on May, 31.
“It’s been a long time coming,” said the owner Jeff Tobin, a long-time home brewer who decided to open to the public. “I thought we’d open at least before the beginning of May.”
Mazama Brewing has already sold some kegs to pubs and growler fill stations in Corvallis and Albany, and Tobin said he has five brews ready to pour in his 40-seat taproom.
The first release was an IPA called Hop Eruption in honour of the brewery’s namesake mountain, which arrived up to 5600 B.C.
Also on tap will be Mazama Belgian-Style Blond, Belgian-Style Dubbel, Grand Cru and Saison, all made in the Belgian brewing tradition Tobin favours.
Mazama Brewing Co.’s tasting room will be open from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
