| E-Malt.com News article: Canada, ON: Beau’s All-Natural Brewing revives Opa’s Gose
Beau’s All-Natural Brewing has announced the return of a beer that was previously brewed especially for one of their famous Oktoberfest events, and which will now be more widely available, Canadian Beer News reported on July 10.
Opa’s Gose was likely the first modern version of the historic gose to be commercially brewed in Ontario when it was first released in 2010. It’s returning now in a much larger batch.
Opa’s Gose is a revival of an ancient beer style that originated in and around the Saxon capital of Leipzig, Germany. The Gose style takes its name from a river that flows through the town of Goslar, in Lower Saxony.
Each bottle of Opa’s Gose will come with a small sachet of sea salt which can be added to the beer if desired to “further define and enhance each flavour, allowing consumers to customize their beer, while creating a lively effect as the salt releases carbonation in their glass.”
Opa’s Gose is available since Thursday, July 11th at the Beau’s retail store and BYBO delivery service. It will also be available at select LCBO outlets throughout Ontario, selling for C$7.85 per 600 ml bottle.
