Widmer Brothers Brewing has introduced a new filtered American-style wheat beer - Krystal Pear - as part of the Feast Portland event that will take place from 19-22 September 2013, Drinks Business Review reported on September 10.

Krystal Pear is brewed, fermented and bottled entirely on-site at the pilot brewery with pears sourced from USA Pears.

Rose Quarter brewer Ben Dobler said that after the great response they received about Krystal Pear during Feast Portland last year, they wanted to share the beer with more people this year.

"Bottling small batch beer, which isn't something we typically do, is a great way to get the beer to more people around town," Dobler added.

Packed in 22oz bottles, this new beer will be available around Portland at bottleshops, grocery stores and on draught at local restaurants and beer bars.
