Gonzo's BiggDogg Brewing, the new brewpub and restaurant, located at 140 S. Westnedge Ave., Kalamazoo, MI opened on November 12 and was welcoming a quiet stream of customers in the evening of November 13, Mlive Kalamazoo reports.

The brewery is one of four new craft beer destinations in the Kalamazoo area that have opened or are about to open.

"I think it's exciting to become a part of the beer culture in Kalamazoo," said Kevin Hyde, assistant brewer at Gonzo's BiggDogg Brewing.

Haner said his "must-try" beers, out of eight on tap Wednesday, were the Burning Sun Redd amber ale, Sub-Continental IPA and Vanilla Porter ale, also known as VP Ale.
