Beer drinkers in Northern Kentucky will soon be able to enjoy beers from MadTree Brewing. The brewery will launch in Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties next week.

Happy Amber, PsycHOPathy and Gnarly Brown will be available in those counties, according to brewery co-owner Kenny McNutt.

More accounts, and more beers, will be added in the next few weeks, he said.

The Northern Kentucky launch is possible because of last week’s addition — two 60 bbl fermenters.

It’s the second expansion for MadTree, which started brewing January 22: In September, the brewery added two 60 bbl fermenters, a 60 bbl brite tank and a centrifuge for clarification and to increase the per batch yield, McNutt said.

All in all, in 10 months, the brewery has added 267 percent capacity — from an annual capacity of about 2,500 bbls to about 10,000 bbls.
