| E-Malt.com News article: Canada, NS: Meander River Farm Brewery to open in Ashdale on May 17
The Atlantic Canada Beer Blog reported on May 9 that the nanobrewery that has been in the works at Meander River Farm since last summer will finally be opening its doors to the public.
Located in the community of Ashdale, Nova Scotia, approximately 20 km from Windsor, Meander River is a family-run farm that raises pigs and poultry and grows flowers, lavender and hops, with local breweries such as Garrison being regular customers for the latter. Owner Alan Bailey is a long-time homebrewer, and he tells ACBB that expanding to a commercial brewing operation is a logical extension of the Meander River ethos.
The Meander River Brewery will open for the first time on Saturday May 17th, offering kegs and growlers of Lunchbox Pale Ale, a 6.5% abv and 55 IBU ale that Bailey describes as being “appealing to both the seasoned craft beer audience and those making the transition to craft beer.”
