Johnson City Brewing Company is pouring more than just brew into the community, it is boosting revitalization efforts as well, wjhl.com reported on October, 25.

One of the owners, Eric Latham, said the recent soft opening they held far exceeded their expectations.

The hope is to bring the community together, to try something new, and get people talking.

"What we have here with the microbrewery is, what we hope it is, is more than just a microbrewery, it's a place for people to come together, for people to come back downtown, the community to come together and talk about issues and enjoy a local craft beer," said Latham.
