| E-Malt.com News article: Canada, BC: Cannery Brewing breaks ground at site of New Brewery
Following the announcement earlier this month that it will be moving to a new location in downtown Penticton, Cannery Brewing held a ceremonial groundbreaking at the new site late last week, Canadian Beer News reported on October, 28.
In front of a crowd of local dignitaries, media, suppliers and staff, Cannery co-owner Patt Dyck outlined the plans for the new facility, which will encompass a previously existing building as well as a new surrounding structure.
Patt said, “Our new space will allow us the opportunity to expand our beer production and our selection of unique, specialty and one-off beers to provide greater interest and variety for all of our customers who want to share in the fascinating world of craft beer. Our new brewery will be built to meet our current needs and to meet our needs as we grow in the future.”
Construction of the new building will begin immediately, and the brewery is expected to relocate in early 2015.
