Alcoholic beverages prices will be going up with effect from February 2, Swaziland Beverages Limited announced on January 21.
Beer Sales Manager Meshack Maseko stated that the new prices would affect mainly the 340ml and 750ml bottles which comprise beer, draughts, ciders and soft drinks of returnable and non returnable bottles when buying at wholesale price or at a drinking spot.
“Each and every time prices are reviewed for the new year hence the changes. We have increased just a few products but managed to maintain most of them,” stated Maseko.
He further said they had already sent information to their customers about the price changes which then will clarify on what has gone up and by how much.
In addition, Maseko highlighted that the average price increase was below inflation which had declined to 6.2 percent in the country.
