Asahi Breweries reports its overall beer sales declined by 8% in January as compared to the same month in 2014.

Ordinary beer sales declined by 8%, new genre beer-like beer sales fell by 14% but happoshu sales managed to grow by 5%.

Sales declined through all the company’s brands, with Asahi Off the only exception – the brand’s volume grew by 3.1% last month.
