Victory Brewing Co. will open in Kennett Square will open sometime in April, a little more than two years after local officials created an ordinance specifically permitting brew pubs in town, Daily Local News reported on March 27.

“It’s been a very, very long time coming,” said Matt Krueger, vice president of operations at Victory Brewing Co. “We anticipate opening in the month of April.”

The seven-barrel system will feature rotating selections of Kennett-brewed beer — beer that is not offered elsewhere. Also offered will be wines, signature Victory root beer and homemade lemonade and iced tea.

Called Victory at Magnolia, it is located at West Cypress Street and Mill Road. Victory will occupy all 8,138 square feet of the bottom floor of a four-story, 33-unit luxury apartment building in Kennett Realty Group’s latest upscale residential community. Just behind the building, 79 townhomes are being constructed.

Beer will be brewed on site.

“It really looks great,” Krueger said.

There will be about 30 different varieties of beer on tap at the Kennett Square location. Some of the custom craft beer offered will be Hop Devil, Headwaters Pale Ale, Golden Monkey, Victory Lager, Storm King Stout, V Twelve, Helios Saison, Baltic Thunder, Victory Festbier, Hop Wallon, Mad Kings, Summer Love, Wild Devil, Deep Cocoa and the newest, Anniversary 19.

Victory at Magnolia will be open Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to midnight and Sundays from 11 a.m. to midnight. The kitchen shuts down an hour before closing.

Victory is a privately-held craft brewery headquartered in Downingtown and serves fans of fully-flavored beers in 31 states.
