E-Malt.com News article: USA, FL: Driftwood Ales brewery to open in Boynton Beach by fall

Construction of a brewery called Driftwood Ales is slated to start this summer and be done in time for a fall opening at 2901 Commerce Park Road in Boynton Beach, Sun Sentinel reported on July 13.

Driftwood Ales brewery’s co-founders Steve Dornblaser and Tim Dornblaser used to be part of Lagerhead Brewing Co.

Tim Dornblaser says he's excited to "help make Boynton Beach a top craft beer destination in South Florida" with the addition of Driftwood Ales brewery.

Interest in craft beer and breweries is on the rise in South Florida. In 2011, Florida had 45 craft breweries; by 2014, that number jumped to 111, according to the Brewers Association.

Florida craft brewers generated $875.8 million in economic impact in 2012, according to the Brewers Association.
