| E-Malt.com News article: USA, OH: Lock 27 Brewing Co. to double brewing capacity by the end of September
The Lock 27 Brewing Co. brewery and restaurant at 1035 S. Main St. in the Centerville Plaza in Dayton will double its brewing capacity by the end of the month, according to founder and brew master Steve Barnhart, Dayton Daily News reported on September 13.
The expansion from a one-and-a-half barrel brewing system to a three-barrel brewhouse will allow the brewery to brew less often and will help keep up with demand, Barnhart said. A three-barrel brewhouse can produce batches of up to 93 gallons. There are no immediate plans to begin distributing canned or bottled Lock 27 Brewing’s beers, the brewery owner said.
Lock 27 Brewing is in the process of building up a supply of its beers to carry it through the week or so that the beer-making operations will be down as the new equipment is installed later this month, Barnhart said.
