USDA barley trade forecast: In 2004/2005 Russia is to export about 2,0 million tonnes of barley an increase of 200,000 tonnes, according to the new forecast of USDA published on July 13. USDA also predicted Ukraine will export 2.3 million tonnes of barley in 2004/2005. EU-25 barley export forecast is lowered by 500,000 tonnes to 2.5 million in light of stronger competition from the Black Sea region and the current absence of export subsidies.
