Newport News residents can look forward to a few new local brews in time for the summer, Daily Press reported on May 7.

Tradition Brewing Company plans to open its doors at 700 Thimble Shoals Blvd. in Newport News' City Center on June 25.

During a grand opening event, Tradition will serve a selection of seasonal and year-round brews that will become available in 15 to 30 local restaurants, including County Grill, Smoke and Harpoon Larry's, as well as food trucks on-site and live music.

"We're excited to be part of everything," Bowditch said.
