Blackburn News reports that Refined Fool Brewing has received approval from Sarnia council to open a second location in the city’s downtown.

Co-owner Nathan Colquhoun appeared before council on September 12th to present the company’s plans for the former Sarnia This Week building at 153 Christina St. S., where it intends to establish a second brewery to keep up with demand for its beer, as well as an events centre that will be suitable for concerts, weddings and other events.

Council approved a change in zoning for the building from general commercial to light industrial, which will allow the new site to focus on larger scale production for LCBO and licensees.

A timeline for construction and opening of the new facility has yet to be announced.
