| E-Malt.com News article: Canada, ON: Crooked Mile Brewing to open its doors in Almonte on October 29
Crooked Mile Brewing has announced on its Facebook page that it will be opening to the public for the first time this coming weekend, Canadian Beer News reported on October 24.
Located at 453 Ottawa St. in Almonte, a small town 40 km southwest of Ottawa, Crooked Mile has been founded by Nick Pruiksma, his wife Vicki, and partner Dylan Bouleau.
In an earlier thread on Facebook, the brewery’s brand line-up was described as follows:
“Our main three brews will be an English IPA, our Welsh Bitter (not a real style, we know, but we didn’t want the Welsh to feel left out), and a Scottish Ale. The IPA is our hoppy beer, the Scottish Ale is our malty beer, and the Welsh Bitter is in between. We will also be doing plenty of seasonal beers to express our creativity, such as a wonderful harvest ale (with ingredients that may surprise you), and a triple chocolate potato stout!”
Crooked Mile will be open on Saturday October 29th from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Sunday October 30th from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM, selling pints and flights to enjoy on-site, and 1 litre and 1.89 litre growlers to go.
