Ontario Beverage Network reports that the province’s newest craft brewery has opened in Kingston.
King’s Town Beer Company is located at 3-675 Arlington Park Place in the west end of the city, and features a 5 barrel brewing system with 10 tanks, a 30 foot bar in the tasting room, and a growler shop for beer-to-go.
King’s Town opened on December 23rd for the first time, and is offering three beers at launch: King’s Town Ale (5.6%, 16.7 IBU, “malt forward style reddish ale with mild hop character”), 1840 Stout (5% abv, 30.9 IBU, “full bodied (with) pronounced espresso, chocolate and nutty flavours”), and Islander IPA (4.2% abv, 69.8 IBU, “spicy citrus and earthy hop flavour with a noticeable pine smell”).
Coming to the line-up soon will be GPA (4.8% abv, 45 IBU, “superbly-balanced, refreshingly lively beer”) and Sir John A’s One-Off Series, a series of limited edition beers named in honour of Canada’s first Prime Minister, Sir John A Macdonald.
