The German official statistics published new figures on December 21. Winter plantings for wheat are at 2.98 mln ha which is a decrease of 4.7% y/y, GrainCom reported on December 22.

The winter barley area is up by 2.5% to 1.256 mln ha, it is reported.

The total winter area is down by 2% due to bad autumn weather conditions during planting period.
