| E-Malt.com News article: USA, OH: Findlay Brewing Company to hold ribbon cutting ceremony in early July
A small business in Findlay has officially bounced back from a devastating fire to grow even bigger, WTOL.com reported on June 29.
Two and a half years after a large fire all but destroyed an entire block on Findlay's Main Street, Findlay Brewing Company has grown from a tiny tap room into a full fledged restaurant.
It was a packed house for the micro brewery's opening day at their new location on Crawford Street.
While the old tap house favorite of samplers and growler filling is still available, patrons can now sit in the front house dining area with full kitchen service, and a beer garden.
Findlay Brewing Company owners knew from their loyal patrons that an expansion as such would work.
"Well, we've always said if we made a product that people seemed to enjoy and request, and we seem to be able to make it consistently; we thought we could probably make that next step. And we found that," said Steve Treece, co-owner of Findlay Brewing Company.
But the biggest improvement is in the brew house.
Out is the old two barrel Sabco system, and in is an enormous 15 barrel brew house with three barrel pilots.
The system is capable of eventually churning out 100 barrels of beer a week.
"Our hope is to distribute through most of the state eventually, We'll see when we can get our brew teams going, and and get ramped up and that could happen," said Treece.
The Findlay Brewing company will be open 5 days a week, Wednesdays through Sundays.
And they will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony in early July.
