A new type of business will soon be coming to one Southeast Kansas city, FourStatesHomepage.com reported on December 27.

The Jolly Fox Brewery is set to open in Pittsburg this summer. Construction for the new attraction recently broke ground at 301 South Broadway Street. And the brewery owner is looking forward to seeing this new space come to life.

"So, I think one of our unique ideals is that we're going to be brewing a lot of beer. We've got a lot of beer to brew. We've already got a lot of distribution set up. We've also got a nice outdoor area, where you can come here and maybe throw some bocce ball or some cornhole. We'll have a nice patio. We'll have a, ya know, a relaxed vibe,” says Joel Stewart, CEO of Jolly Fox Brewery.

The brewery will specialize in Scottish, English and Irish style ales with many of them being brewed in house. Jolly Fox Brewery is a part of the city of Pittsburg's plan to develop more shops south of Fourth Street in the area.
