United Kingdom: UK malt export deliveries to the EU and third countries were 381,402 tonnes in 2003 compared to 435,356 tonnes the previous year, MAGB Chairman Euan Macpherson announced at the Armourers Hall in London on November 8th 2004 in his annual statement. UK malt deliveries for distilling were 405,073 tonnes compared to 435,071 tonnes the previous year, and UK malt deliveries to UK brewers were 661,074 tonnes (43% of all UK malt use) in 2003 against 653,572 tonnes (41% of all UK malt use) in 2002.
