A new brewery, Good Wolf Brewing Company, opened this past weekend in Truckee, KTVN reported on February 3.

Officials said Good Wolf soft-opened in late November last year and has since released new beers, with more on the way.

The brewery has a 50-seat tasting room, stocked with board games. Officials said they have fundraisers, live music, trivia nights and movie marathons planned for the space.

“The community we’ve found in Truckee has been incredible in the short time we’ve been here,” said Heidi Petyo, one of the owners. “We’re really looking forward to contributing to our new community and having a family-friendly space that brings people together. Whether meeting old buddies or trying to make new friends, we’re super proud of the space and hope our entire community feels at home here.”

Owners Heidi and Matt Petyo are from Northern California and decided to move back to the state after the Camp Fire in 2018.

Matt spent time working for other breweries, including Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Seattle's Elysian Brewing Company, Oskar Blues Brewery and Wildcard Brewing Company.

He said he enjoys “exploring and experimenting with unique hop varietals and creative beers that push the boundaries of the brewing tradition."

Good Wolf Brewing Company is located at 10990 Industrial Way, Suite B103 in Truckee.
