E-Malt.com News article: EU: Barley exports reach 5.95 mln tonnes from July 2019 till April 12, 2020

Soft wheat exports from the European Union in the 2019/20 season that started last July had reached 26.71 million tonnes by April 12, official EU data showed on April 14, 68pc above the volume cleared by April 7 last year.

EU 2019/20 barley exports had reached 5.95 million tonnes, up 63pc from the year-earlier period, while its 2019/20 maize imports stood at 16.30 million tonnes, down 16pc.

The European Commission is continuing to include Britain in its weekly grain export and import data during the transition period following Britain's exit from the bloc.
