| E-Malt.com News article: USA, TX: Three Empires Brewing Co. coming to Frisco this fall
Three Empires Brewing Co. is projected to open this fall at the Main Street Food Hall, 9145 John W. Elliott Drive, Frisco. Family-owned by David and Mandalyn Wible, the couple said they will open their brick-and-mortar brewery inside a 280 square-foot space, the Community Impact Newspaper reported on June 17.
The brewery will have indoor seating and a large, outside patio and beer garden behind the building, Mandalyn said. Three Empires Brewing Co. comes following Frisco City Council's approval of a zoning ordinance amendment in an April 2020 meeting, allowing breweries, distilleries and wineries to operate in certain areas.
Geared to be a family-friendly space, David and Mandalyn said they look forward to teaming up with the neighboring restaurants.
“It's going to be in a food hall where you can come, hang out, have a couple beers with your friends and family and have a few bites,” Mandalyn said.
Three Empires Brewing Co. was inspired from when the family lived in Minneapolis for a few years. David and Mandalyn immersed themselves in the local craft beer scene, and decided they wanted to try brewing themselves.
Since then, they’ve produced several different kinds of beers, including the Frisco Blonde that’s inspired by Deep Ellum Brewing Co.’s Dallas Blonde. Specialty brews also include the flavored-IPA Tangerine Speedo and a strong IPA called the Three-Legged Creeper.
Main Street Food Hall proved to be an appealing venue for the couple as they explored options. The food hall was advertised as “pandemic proof,” according to David, and he said the hall’s food options would allow for the brewery to take advantage of Texas’ alcohol-to-go law if there ever are future shut-down orders.
Ultimately, the family said they wanted to start this venture in Frisco because the city is where their lives together began.
“We started our lives here in Frisco,” Mandalyn said. “This feels like home to us.”
