Xicha Brewing has opened a second location inside the 45th Parallel building in North Salem,, the Statesman Journal reported.

The move to the new space is primarily for increasing the volume of production, Melissa Sanchez, Xicha's marketing coordinator, said. The space was previously Vagabond Brewing's operational space, but closed in early 2022. The brewery operation is projected to finish its move in late April, potentially early May.

The new space's capacity is almost twice as large as the West Salem location. In the future, all events will be held at this site since it also has a stage, Sanchez said.

Talks of moving began in September and the space was secured in December, Sanchez said. Renovations took around four months.

The space is now much brighter and festively decorated compared to the prior dark paint and sports paraphernalia that used to hang on the walls. Various walls are painted vibrant teal, pink and yellow. A mural of an owl is on the wall above the stage as well. Plants and animals like cacti and hummingbirds are also painted on the walls, along with framed decor and plants.

The North Salem location will also have a slightly adjusted menu, with more items tailored for the lunch crowd, including bowls and value plates, Sanchez said. The menu has chicken wings and a "pinchos asados" category with the option of paella and lomo saltado, a sirloin and rice dish.
