| E-Malt.com News article: USA, TX: Neches Brewing Company to start manufacturing at new downtown Neches location
The Neches Brewing Company is expanding its brand and will start manufacturing in the downtown location where the previous Pour Brothers brewery was located on Wall Street and the corner of Neches, the Beaumont Enterprise reported on June 6.
“We are currently in the permitting process, so I’m hoping to start brewing in about three months,” said owner Tyler Blount. “It’s a turn-key purchase with the new location being initially utilized for manufacturing purposes to expand the brand in the community.”
The goal is to have the capability to accommodate local markets and bars, and this new location will help in those efforts, Blount explained.
“We are also looking to purchase the 100-year-old building across the street from the Port Neches location, but the downtown location makes more sense now, and we will expand from there,” he said.
The local brewing company wants to keep it local to Jefferson County and help grow the brand in the place and the community he calls home.
Blount explained that he worked in an office in downtown Beaumont selling insurance a decade ago. He would look out the window at the Pour Brothers brewery location and daydream about his future owning a brewery. He would later try to inquire about that same building during the launch of the Neches Brewery Co. business endeavor but said it did not come to fruition then. Now 10 years later, he acquired the location to expand the Neches Brewery Co. name that symbolically is located on the corner of Neches Street.
“Just feels a little like God’s wings,” he added.
