World barley trade 2004/2005: United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) published on Mach 11 its latest forecast of world trade changes of barley in 2004/2005. According to USDA, 2004/2005 Bulgaria barley export is raised by 200,000 tonnes up to 400,000 tonnes because of newly available trade data. Canada barley export is dropped 200,000 tonnes down to 1.5 million tonnes because of malting barley quality issues. Russia barley exports for 2004/2005 is cut again this month to the lowest level in 5 years (1.0 million tonnes) due to slow exports. However, Ukraine barley export is raised again this month, this time by 300,000 tonnes to a record 3.8 million tonnes.
