According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, as of 15 August, grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine were harvested from a total area of 6.713m hectares, which is 61% of the planned area. The gross grain harvest is estimated at 28.459 million tonnes with an average yield of 42.4 centners per hectare, APK Inform reported on August 16.

In terms of crops, the dynamics of harvesting is as follows:

• wheat - 21.68 million tonnes from 4.85 million hectares (100% of the plan) at a yield of 44.7 c/ha;
• barley - 5.48 million tonnes from 1.4 million hectares (100% of the plan) with a yield of 39.2 centners per hectare;
• peas - 458.5 thousand tonnes on 207.6 thousand ha (99%) with a yield of 22.1 c/ha;
• buckwheat - 2.4 thousand tonnes in 1.6 thousand ha (2%) with a yield of 14.4 centners/ha;
• millet - 9.5 thousand tonnes in 5.32 thousand hectares (6%) with a yield of 17.9 kg/ha;
• other cereals and leguminous crops - 827.7 thousand tonnes from 255.3 thousand hectares (72%) with a yield of 32.4 c/ha.

As for oilseeds, as of 15 August, rape was threshed on 1.23 million hectares, or 98% of the planned. From this area, 3.358 million tonnes of oilseeds were harvested at a yield of 27.4 cwt/ha. Indicators for soybeans for the week have not changed - 1 thousand tonnes of soybeans were harvested from 0.7 thousand hectares with a yield of 15.2 c/ha.

Also, the first information on the progress of sunflower harvesting was released - 4.2 thousand hectares were threshed (out of the planned 4.89 million hectares), of which 3.8 thousand tonnes of seeds were harvested with a yield of 9 c/ha.
