Jaxon's Restaurants & Brewing Co. will commemorate 10 years of making its own beer later this year, making it the fourth oldest brewpub in Texas, according to El Paso Times.

Owner Gary Helsten describes the hand-crafted beer that his company makes as a "point of difference" that sets his restaurants apart from the competition. Jaxon's hand-crafted beer accounts for about 8 percent of the company's sales, Helsten estimated.

Jaxon's, which was founded in 1973, has been brewing its own beer since September 1995. The chain is planning an anniversary celebration during October.
