| E-Malt.com News article: Russia: Baltika will take a decision concerning compromise deal for rebel shareholders
The board of Baltika brewery, which is a Scottish & Newcastle's jointly-owned Russian venture, will make a decision this week whether a compromise deal could be offered to a group of revolted shareholders who fight against restructuring, according to Business Scotsman as of September 5.
This shareholders group believe S&N and partner Carlsberg of Denmark are attempting to load up Baltika with debt to permit it to swallow other Russian breweries owned by BBH. In St Petersburg a court case is taking place.
