Greene King plc announces that, on 19 December 2005, 2,000 new ordinary shares in the company were transferred by Kleinwort Benson (Guernsey) Trustees Limited, as trustee of the Greene King Employee Share Trust, to satisfy options exercised by employees under the Greene King Executive Share Option Scheme 1994.

As a result of the transfer, Rooney Anand, Justin Adams, Mark Angela, David Elliott and Michael Shallow, who are beneficiaries of the trust, no longer have an interest in the 2,000 shares in the company.

This brings the number of new ordinary shares in the Company owned by the Greene King Employee Share Trust to a total of 570,766.
