Slovaks drank 93 litres of beer per capita last year, representing an increase in average consumption of four litres year on year and establishing Slovakia as the 10th thirstiest nation in the world, The Slovak Spectator reported. The Czechs remain the world champions in beer consumption, drinking 159 litres per capita, followed by the Irish, who drank 151 litres per capita last year and the Germans who drank 148.
