The Russian leading brewery, Baltika, launched four new brands of beer early this month. The new brands Krasnoyarsk, Krasnodar, Tyumen and Sverdlovsk, are called after the name of the cities where they will be marketed. Baltica reported that it plans to achieve annual sales of 800,000 litres after launching new brands. The company said it was using relatively inexpensive materials for the products and no special advertising.
Baltika is owned by Baltic Beverage Holding (BBH), the joint venture between Scottish & Newcastle (S&N) and Carlsberg.
