The Board of Directors of Haber Hateg will ask for the shareholders' approval to sell the stake owned in Brau Union Romania, the leader of the local beer market, Ziarul Financiar posted October 03. The company called the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders for October 13 in order to have the sale approved.
Before the de-listing of Brau Union from the RASDAQ in 2004, the Hateg-based company held 2.4% of Brau Union. On December 31 2005, the stake held by Haber in Brau Union was registered in the balance sheet as being worth RON6.44 million (€1.78 million euros). Haber Hateg's majority stake was bought by Adrian Andrici this year, one of the members of SIF Muntenia's Board of Directors, with the value of the transaction standing at RON3.5 million (nearly €1 million). The company's other shareholders are Brau Union, with a 26.77% stake and other shareholders with 21.52%.
