Three SUN Interbrew brands were nominated with EFFIE/The Best Brand award — the supreme national Russian prize in marketing and advertisement. At the 2006 EFFIE/The Best Brand awards, SUN Interbrew made history by becoming the first brewer to win awards in each of the three beer categories. «Stella Artois» was awarded with a gold medal; «BagBier» took home the silver; and «Sibirskaya Korona» won a bronze medal, the company released October 30.
EFFIE/The Best Brand is a national award annually honoring the major outstanding achievements in the brand value building on the Russian market. Launched in 1998 «The Best Brand» award with a purpose of popularization of the open market economy, «The best brand» became one of the most significant awards for companies regardless of the economy sector. From the 2001 the national Russian award in the brand creating «The best brand» is a part of EFFIE — most honorable award in effective marketing communications, which now is hold in 30 counties all over the world.
Receiving three awards at once confirms that SUN Interbrew places a lot of attention to the creation and building up the brand portfolio. «Stella Artois», «BagBier», and «Sibirskaya Korona» all have unique history, outstanding flavors and demonstrate constant sales growth. These brands belong to undisputable beer market leaders. The main feature of strengthening their leading positions is constant following the developed efficient marketing strategy, using most advanced and effective tools in brand creation.
SUN Interbrew vice-president Bertrand Van Renynghe said: «Noteworthy that each SUN Interbrew brand, that received reward in EFFIE/The Best Brand 2006 contest, belongs to the different segment of the beer market that proves that company’s brand-portfolio is well-balanced and highly competitive».
