The market of feed barley is characterized with positive price tendencies that results in keeping to export-oriented companies' strong demand for this grain, according to Agrimarket, January 25. The exporters' main attention is devoted to barley purchases on elevators. Purchasing prices are declared considering that prices for barley in the ports would be 4800-4900 RUR/t. In single cases, higher prices are accepted (to 5000-5050 RUR/t, CPT).
According to the information from Rostov oblast, maximal prices for purchasing feed barley reach 4700 RUR/t (ex-elevator).
In Volgograd oblast, maximal purchasing prices for feed barley are at 4200-4250 RUR/t (ex-elevator).
Almost all oblasts of Central Region of Russia notice constant increasing of prices for feed barley. Export-oriented companies and domestic buyers show high interest for purchasing (in separate cases, processors are ready to pay higher prices than declared by exporters). In addition, trading-brokers companies show high trading activity.
