 | E-Malt.com News article: USA, NV: IMBIB Custom Brews to close both Reno and Sparks locations by end of February
IMBIB Custom Brews has announced it will be closing its doors at both their Reno and Sparks locations by the end of February, citing an unsustainable business model. The brewery, known for its world-class, award-winning beers, has been a staple in the Nevada beer scene, My News4 reported on January 13.
"We did what we set out to do," the company said in a statement. "We made world-class, award-winning beer. We pushed the boundaries of beer, and we nailed some traditional styles."
IMBIB expressed gratitude for the community's support and highlighted its contributions to the local beer industry. "We helped put the Nevada beer scene on the map," the statement said. "We gave to as many organizations as we could and tried to say yes as often as possible."
As the brewery winds down operations, it is offering significant discounts on its remaining stock. Starting immediately, all bottles and to-go crowlers are 50% off. The brewery plans to offer deals on cases of cans next week.
IMBIB will host a farewell party on February 1, inviting patrons to join in celebrating the brewery's journey. "Please stop in and say goodbye and imbibe a few beers with us before we lock the doors for the last time," the statement said.
The brewery encouraged patrons to tip generously, as employees will soon be seeking new opportunities. In closing, IMBIB quoted Woody Guthrie: "Take it easy, but take it."
